Commission Cap Report

Last Updated October 17, 2013

Some tax offices are able to print a report that shows information about their commission caps.  This information includes, for each jurisdiction, the total amount of cap allowed, the total commission paid (shown as a negative number), and the remaining commission eligible to be paid.  Commissions paid on rendition penalty amounts are included in the cap.

The calculation period for commission caps is determined by the deposit dates entered when generating the report.  For Montgomery County, all units are listed on the report, even if commission was not collected for the date range specified.

Users must be assigned the GLTAXLEDGE_FOUNDATION role and the user entitlements TAXLEDGE_REPORTS and GLRPTCOMMISSION_CAP in the Tax Collection System to run this report.

To run a Commission Cap Report:

  1. On TaxLedge’s Main Menu bar, select Reports, then select Commission CAP Report . The Commission Cap Report screen will be displayed.
  2. Enter the Deposit Date Range for calculating payments. The first date should be the fiscal period begin date.
  3. Click Print.
  4. If your tax office wants, the report can be tracked on the batch menu. A popup window will appear after you click Print that gives you the batch request sequence number. Contact ACT if you want this feature.
