Adjust Attorney Remittances

If the remittances to attorneys need to be adjusted, you can do so in the Attorney Remittance Detail screen.  Contact ACT if you want attorney fees to remitted to the jurisdictions instead of the attorneys.

The following roles and user entitlements should be set in the Tax Collection System for users needing to access the Attorney Remittance Detail screen in TaxLedge.

Remittance Screen Roles

GLTAXLEDGE_FOUNDATION - Allows access to the TaxLedge database tables. Restrictions are made by removing entitlements to users.

ACTGL_REMIT – Allows access to the Remit screen.

GLATTYREMITDETAIL - Allows access to the Attorney Remittance Detail screen.

Click here to see other entitlements needed to perform certain actions on this screen.

  1. In the Remit screen, click on the Attorney Remittance Detail tab.

Note: There are several read-only fields on this screen, including Begin Date, End Date, Atty Name, Tax Unit and Remit Total.  The Remit Total field will auto-adjust depending on what is changed in the other fields.

  1. Click in the field you wish to alter.
  2. Enter the new amount.

Note: If you wish to enter an actual monetary figure, click in either the Atty Commission or Misc Fees & Adjustments fields and enter a new amount.  The percentage will auto-adjust.  If you wish to change the percentage for remittance, click in the Percent to Remit field and enter the new percentage.  The monetary amounts will auto-adjust.

To adjust the percentages for all records displayed at once, enter a percentage value in the Percent for All field, then click Apply to All.

  1. Press Tab.  The other fields will auto-adjust to reflect the changes.

Note: Repeat this procedure if necessary for any other tax units.

  1. If needed, you can add a Comment or Reference line to this tax unit in the line(s) at the bottom of the screen.

Note: You must add the comment or reference line in this screen.  The corresponding lines in the Remit screen are view-only.

  1. Click Save to see the new total appear in theTotal to Remit field.

Note: This new total will show immediately in the Remit screen as well.
