Sales Entries and Edits

To enter new sales information for a particular dealership, you must start from the Yearly Summary screen for the dealership with which you are working.

  1. Click the edit link for the month of the new sales.
  2. From the Sales screen for that dealer, year, and month, you can either enter sales individually or upload a .csv file of sales information and then import the data into the portal. The year selected must be the current year or the most recent prior year.
  • To import a .pdf file, click Browse in the Upload File box, .
  • Locate the data file to be imported, then click Open.
  • Click Upload.
  • Enter a comment if desired, then click Add Comment.
  • The File Upload label will state Yes - View File after the upload is completed. You can click that link to view the uploaded file.
  • To import a .csv file of data, lick Import Records. (If the month has already been closed, click Create New Report, then click Import Records.)
  • From the Sales Importer screen, click Browse to locate the .csv file.
  • Make sure the data is correct. Any fields with a pink background may need to be corrected. Tax amounts do not need to be corrected. The sales month for each entry in the file must be in the month selected on the Sales screen.
  • Click Submit Records. A message appears stating the data was imported successfully
  • Click Back to Sales to return to the Sales screen.
  • To enter individual sales, click Create New Record.
  • On the Create Entry popup, enter all of the information except the tax. You may need to change the Date of Sale and the Sale Type.
  • The tax is calculated automatically after the requested information is entered. Penalties are automatically attached if the sale is entered after the due date (that is, after the 10th of the following month). If you changed the Sale Type, no tax is calculated. If this is the dealership's first year in business, no tax is calculated until the following year. Sales amounts may still be entered. Negative sales amounts may also be entered.
  • To enter another sale, click Add Another. To save your data without entering additional sales, click Finish. Click Cancel if you do not want to save the information entered.

To edit existing sales information for a particular dealership, you must start from the Yearly Summary screen.

  1. Click the edit link for the month of the new sales.
  2. Click the edit link for the sale to be changed.
  3. On the Modify Entry popup, make any necessary changes. You can change all of the information except the Tax.
  4. To save your data, click Finish. Click Cancel if you do not want to save the information entered.

To delete existing sales information for a particular dealership, you must start from the Yearly Summary screen.

  1. Click the edit link for the month of the new sales.
  2. Click the delete link for the sale to be deleted.
  3. On the Delete Entry popup, confirm that this is the entry you want to delete.
  4. To delete the sales entry, click Delete. Click Cancel if you do not want to delete that sale.
