Paying for Certificates & Reversing Certificate Payments

Last Revised:  January 3, 2017

A popup window on the Tax Certificate screen allows you to pay for certificates that were not paid for when they were issued.  It also allows you to reverse payments made for tax certificates without voiding the certificate itself. If you want to void the certificate and reverse the payment at the same time, see the instructions for Voiding a Tax Certificate or Bidders List. You cannot pay for voided certificates.

Paying for a Certificate

  1. From the Main Menu, select Update, then Tax Certificates (or click the Online Products icon (), then click the Tax Certificate button).
  2. Click the Tax Certificate tab.  The Tax Certificate screen will appear.
  3. If the account has carried over from a previous screen, the information for the certificate should be displayed.  To enter a different account, press F7, enter the account number, then press F8 to bring up the tax certificates for that account.

  5. If you want to use a deposit other than the 'TC' deposit, click the star button next to the Deposit No. field and select one of the deposits listed, then click OK. Only deposits that are open for the current day will be listed. (The deposit number field and star button are disabled if the client preference ENFORCE_TC_DEPOSITS_ONLY is set to Y.)
