Viewing Fees and Rendition Penalty for an Individual Account

Last Revised: August 19, 2014

For unpaid or partially paid accounts, a breakdown of fees remaining due on an account is available on the Account Status -- Expand Fees screen.  Penalty, interest, and attorney fees/collection fees are displayed individually, while other fees are placed in the Levy column.

For fully paid accounts, the amounts shown on this screen are those that have been paid.

Note:  In ACT 7 all fees are assigned to specific units.  These units will be set by each tax office, but must be in the 9000 number range.

  1. From the Main Menu, click the Account Status () button or select Inquiry, then Account Status, or click the Go To drop-down list and select Account Status.  The Account Status screen will appear.
  2. If the account has carried over from a previous screen, go to the next section.

If the Account Number field is blank, enter the account number, press F8, then go to thenext section.

If you need to enter a different account number, press F7, key in the new account number, press F8, then go to the next section.

Note: If you don't know your account number, see Locating an Account.

  1. In the Account Status window, click the Expand Fees tab; data for levy, penalty, interest and attorney fees still outstanding on this account will appear.
  2. Double-click any column except Other Fees to see a Fee Detail window, which shows a breakdown by tax unit of outstanding levy, penalty, interest and attorney/collection fees for the year selected.
  3. If the account has rendition penalty and the client preference RENDITION_CONTROL is set to EMBED, click the Rendition Penalty button to show the assessed rendition penalty amount in the Other Fees column, which will be renamed to Rendition Penalty. The other columns will display $0.00.  Double-clicking on that row will show a break out of the rendition penalty by unit as well as the 'reference tax unit', which is normally 1095.
  4. If the Notes button is a color other than gray, this is an indication that notes exist for this account.
  5. To view the delinquency dates on the account, click Delinquency Dates. A popup window will appear showing the delinquency dates, 33.11 or 33.07, 33.08, 33.48, and 42.08 dates, delayed omitted property dates, and penalty control codes.
