Re-opening a Deposit

During the course of a day, you may need to leave a particular payment screen and return to it later (but before you close the deposit).  In this case, you will need to re-open that deposit before you can access a payment screen.  

Remember that you cannot mix payment types in the same deposit.  Also, only authorized users can open a deposit previously opened by another employee.

 

To re-open the last deposit you opened, press F8.

To re-open any deposit:

  1. From the Main Menu, click the Payment Process () button or select Payment, then Payment Process, or click the Go To drop-down list and select Payment Process; the Deposit Control screen will appear.
  2. To re-open the most recent deposit used, press F8. The deposit information appears. Skip to step 5.
  3. To re-open a different deposit, press F7 (Enter Query).
  4. Type in the Deposit Number or click the star button to the right of the field.
  5. If you typed in the deposit number, press F8 (Execute Query); the deposit will re-open. If you pressed the star button, a popup window will appear that shows all open deposits. Select the desired deposit, then click OK. The deposit name will appear.
  6. Click Payment Transaction; the payment screen for that deposit will appear.
  7. If you are authorized to do so, you can change the Deposit Status field.  This allows you to re-open a deposit or close a deposit that is still open.
  8. Press F10 (Save) when you have made the change.
