Move Bad E-Mail Statement Addresses to Trigger Table

Last Revised: October 11, 2012

This process assumes that you have marked one or more e-statement requests in the E-Statement Request screen as having a bad e-mail address. This process puts these accounts into the trigger table so that you can then print statements for them to mail. You can run this multiple times for the same or a different request sequence number to pick up additional requests flagged as bad e-mail addresses. This process also set the Expired Date on each request to the current date, so the requests will not be picked the next time this process is run.

  1. From ACT 7's Main Menu, click on Products, then Batch Products.  The ACT Batch Menu will appear.
  2. Click on the Move Bad E-Mail Statement Addresses to Trigger Table line, batch menu no. 1087.
  3. Press Enter.  The parameter screen for this report appears.
  4. Enter your tax office's Client ID if it is not already there.
  5. Enter the Tax Year.
  6. (optional) Enter a request sequence number for the trigger table or leave the Req. Seq. No. for Trigger Table field blank to let the program assign a number. This can be used later when printing statements.
  7. Click Submit Job to start the report process.
  8. Click OK on the "OK to Submit Job" pop-up screen
  9. To review the log file, see Previewing and Printing Reports. The log gives the number of accounts added to the trigger table.
