Collections Report

The Collections Report provides a way to view payments by deposit date range, deposit number, or collecting tax unit. In Summary mode the data is listed by collecting tax unit and for each of these units, it is broken down by distributing tax unit. In Detail mode, the following information is given: deposit no., deposit date, year, period, report no., hotel ID, hotel name, distributing tax unit, collecting unit, and amount paid. Subtotals are given by deposit. Totals for NSF payments and a grand total are also provided. This data is sorted by deposit no., then hotel ID, collecting tax unit, distributing tax unit, year and period.
Entitlements:
HOTBATCHMENU: View and run reports and batch processes on the Batch Menu. Each user must also be granted the user security access for each batch menu report or process. This is done in ACT's Tax Collection System.
- Enter 7 in the Select box on the Main Menu, then press Enter or select Batch Menu on the Go To list; the Batch Menu screen will appear.
- Click on the Hotel/Motel Deposit Collections Report line, batch menu no. 16107.
- Press Enter. The parameter screen appears.
- The Client ID field should be populated with your ACT Client ID.
- In the Begin Deposit Date and End Deposit Date fields, enter a date range for which to retrieve data.
- (optional) In the Deposit No. field, enter a specific deposit number to display data for only that deposit or leave blank to retrieve all deposits.
- (optional) In the Tax Unit field, enter a specific collecting jurisdiction number to limit the data on the report or leave blank to retrieve all collecting jurisdiction data.
- In the Summary or Detail field, leave the default of DETAIL to see information for each payment or enter SUMMARY to view information by tax unit. The Summary report includes credits and overages that are not part of the Detail report. If run in summary mode, a .csv file of the data is also created.
- Click Submit Report, then click Yes to the confirmation message.
- Click Batch Request to see when the report is finished.
- Click Present Report to view the report as a .pdf.
